Big Blue Bus' Route 45 Connects Riders Through Downtown Santa Monica

The transportation company in Santa Monica, Big Blue Bus (BBB), will now offer Route 45 that will unite the tourist places of the city during the summer.

Route 45 will join downtown Santa Monica with other popular places such as Santa Monica Pier and Beach, Ocean Avenue, Third Street Walkway and the Metro Expo Line station in the city center, among others.

The service will be daily, from July 1 through September 2, from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m., with buses that will circulate every 15 minutes.

"This summer, we plan to continue to improve our services and customer experience, easy connections, major destinations, Santa Monica, the options to visit, eat and shop," Ed King, director of Traffic Services, said in a statement.

Route 45 is designed to be useful, ecological and economical for residents, tourists and visitors in downtown Santa Monica. We would like everyone in our community to try Route 45, so the first trip will be on us. "

The cost of the single trip can be deducted from the TAP Card, a value of $1.10 or a cash payment of $1.25. If the passenger transfers from a bus or Metro train, in the next two and a half hours, the transfer will be $0.50.
