Blaze Erupts at Flower Shop in Pico-Robertson Area

A fire ripped through a flower shop in the Pico-Robertson area of Los Angeles early Monday morning, officials said.

The blaze was reported just before 2:30 a.m. in the 9300 block of Pico Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Firefighters arrived and found flames shooting through the roof of a flower shop. No one was inside the building when the blaze erupted.

About 75 firefighters battled the flames, which was knocked down shortly after 4 a.m. Crews continued to monitor hot spots and clean up the mess into the morning.

Officials believe the fire started was in the rear of the business. No injuries were reported.

Arson investigators were working to determine the cause of the fire.
