Cameras worn by members of the San Bernardino County Fire Department provide a dramatic and smoke-filled view as they fought a fire from the roof of a house.
The cameras rolled Wednesday as firefighters were dispatched to the burning home in 15800 block of La Paz Drive in Victorville. The residents, three adults and four children, were already outside when firefighters arrived.
A family dog was found during a search and reunited with its owners.
Firefighters created holes in the roof to provide ventilation, allowing heat and smoke to escape the single-story residence. One camera shows a firefighter's view as a chainsaw is used to cut a hole in the roof. Fire can be seen shooting through the hole and filling the view of the camera.
The fire was knocked down in about 30 minutes. No injuries were reported.
A cause was not immediately determined.
