Firefighters got a handle on a brush fire that threatened homes and scorched three acres in the Rancho Palos Verdes area Saturday afternoon, fire officials said.
The blaze was reported in the 2900 block of Palos Verdes Drive North, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Two Super Scoopers were sent to fight the fire.
The location of the homes under threat was not immediately clear.
