Burglars looted a Los Alamitos jewelry store in a "smash and grab" heist early Tuesday and took an undisclosed amount of costume jewelry.
Two men targeted the business at around 3 a.m. and broke the glass door to Crystal Gems, a jewelry store in the 10900 block of Los Alamitos Boulevard.
The store's owner says the vandalism the burglars caused is more damaging than the amount of property they took. Surveillance footage captured the two looters and investigators plan to review it.
This is the second time the store has been targeted in just three months.
