A fatal crash on Pacific Coast Highway involving Caitlyn Jenner has been presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office.
The office confirmed Tuesday afternoon that the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department presented the case in connection with the fatal February crash to the Major Crimes Division, responsible for handling high-profile cases. It was not immediately clear what charges, if any, Jenner might face.
Jenner was hauling an off-road vehicle on a trailer behind her Cadillac Escalade on Feb. 7 when she steered to avoid cars slowing for a traffic light in front of her on PCH in Malibu.
Jenner's SUV rear-ended two cars, pushing the Lexus into oncoming traffic and also hitting a Prius. The 69-year-old Lexus driver was killed when her car was struck head-on by a Hummer.
The Associated Press reported last week that the sheriff's report recommended a manslaughter charge, but a source familiar with the case told NBC News no recommendation was made. If prosecutors make a decision to charge Jenner, she will be charged with misdemeanor manslaughter, at most, the source said.
A timetable for a decision from the district attorney's office also was not available Tuesday.
Jenner's attorney declined to comment, the AP reported.
