Dog Rescued From Burning Building in Vallejo

Firefighters rescued a dog from a burning building in Vallejo Saturday.

Vallejo firefighters found the second floor of the apartment complex covered in smoke, and it took them about 30 minutes to knock down the flames.

They also found a dog inside.

"We were able to locate a dog," Vallejo fire spokesman Cliff Campbell said. "Gave the dog some oxygen, transported him to a local vet. He seems to be in good condition at this time."

No other injuries were reported.

According to firefighters, the fire may have started by a drying machine.
