How Northern California Wildfires Impact Bay Area Air Quality

Two years of Northern California wildfires mean a decade of problems for the air we breathe in the Bay Area.

On Thursday, a Public Health committee meeting held a critical discussion about how the last few wildfire seasons changed the air quality. The results, in some cases, were staggering.

Last fall, record amounts of smoke smothered the Bay Area. And as it turns out, turned back the clocks on improving air quality.

NBC Bay Area's Sam Brock attended the meeting and shows the changes parents and students could see because of Thursday's discussion in the video report above.
