Missing Anaheim Woman Found

Betty Ann Thigpen, 77, had been staying with her family on the 1600 block of West Cutter Road

Police have found a woman with Alzheimer’s Disease who went missing from an Anaheim home on Saturday.

Officials said Betty Ann Thigpen was found in the city of Orange on Sunday and reunited with her family.

Thigpen, 77, had been staying with her family on the 1600 block of West Cutter Road for about two weeks, according to a news release from the Anaheim Police Department.

Thigpen left the family home when her daughter was showering and family members were not able to locate her, officials said.

Police said they were contacted and initiated a search around the area that involved the use of a police helicopter.

Thigpen is described as an African-American woman, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 140 pounds, with brown eyes and gray hair.

She was last seen wearing a blue and white sweater, a peach shirt, tan shorts and a black-and-white scarf on her head, officials said.
