Candlelight Vigil Held to Mark Birthday of Missing Santa Clarita Man

A candlelight vigil was held Monday night to mark the birthday of a Santa Clarita man who has been missing since late January.

William Cierzan, 59, was last seen Jan. 26 on his day off from working at the nearby theme park Six Flags Magic Mountain.

His wife Linda returned home from work around 7 p.m. to find him vanished, with dinner in the oven and his personal items left behind.

Deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley station conducted a missing person investigation. Investigators found blood stains inside the home.

In April, the city of Santa Clarita announced a $10,000 reward in exchange for information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of anyone responsible for Cierzan's disappearance. The reward has since doubled.

The vigil was held around 7 p.m. Monday at Six Flags Magic Mountain near the park's valet.
