Trash Truck Crash in Valley Glen Leaves 1 Dead, 1 Injured

The driver of the pickup truck died at the scene and the driver of a third car was seriously injured

A Waste Management truck collided with a pickup truck around 11 a.m. Thursday in the Valley Glen area of Los Angeles, leaving one dead and one in "grave condition," authorities said.

The driver of the pickup truck died at the scene, while the driver of a third car was seriously injured, according to Sgt. Altabirran of the North Hollywood Police Deptartment. The driver of the Waste Management truck was not injured.

The sanitation truck was traveling west on Burbank Boulevard when it collided with the pickup near Laurel Canyon Boulevard.

Altabirran added that the cause of the crash is under investigation.
