A 27-year-old construction worker who fell 60 to 70 feet Friday into a well in Bel-Air has died, firefighters said.
The man was found face down, motionless and "beyond medical help," said Briand Humphrey, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Search-and-rescue specialists were called to pull him out.
Firefighters were summoned at 2:48 p.m. to the 900 block of North Bel Air Road, where the man had fallen into a 4-foot sump well, according to Humphrey.
