Sheriff’s deputies were questioning a man accused of groping a female passenger on a Metro Gold Line train Tuesday morning.
The female passenger said the man was sitting next to her just before 8:30 a.m. when he touched her knee, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
Deputies dispatched to the South Pasadena station detained the man and were trying to figure out what happened.
The passenger told investigators she did not want criminal charges file. But investigators said the incident could be considered sexual battery, and charges could be filed if there was wrongdoing.
Investigators were also looking at surveillance video from inside the train.
