Suspected E-Cig Shop Burglars Chuck Cash Register During Chase to Long Beach: Police

Burglary suspects threw a stolen cash register out of their vehicle during a chase that stretched from Orange County to Long Beach Thursday morning, police said.

Four people were arrested while a fifth was still at large on suspicion of robbing an e-cigarette store in Anaheim just before 3 a.m., according to the Anaheim Police Department.

The suspects fled police after they arrived on scene, in the 2500 block of Lincoln Avenue, police said.

The vehicle didn't respond to officers' attempts to stop it, leading authorion a chase to Long Beach, police said. It ended in Lakewood.

While they were being pursued, the suspected burglars threw the items out of the window, including a cash register, according to officers.

Officers didn't know if there was surveillance video of the burglary.
