Two men accused of gunning down a 28-year-old Eastvale woman and leaving her to die on a street were charged Thursday with first-degree murder.
Kenyatta Keshan Crockett, 23, and Anthony Salcida, 34, both of Eastvale, were arrested Monday following a nearly monthlong Riverside County sheriff's investigation into the slaying of Alicia Rene Lopez.
Along with the murder count, the defendants are both charged with sentence-enhancing gun and great bodily injury allegations. They're slated to make a joint initial court appearance this afternoon at the Riverside Hall of Justice.
Both men are being held without bail -- Crockett at the Smith Correctional Facility in Banning, and Salcida at the Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta.
Lopez was gunned down about 8 p.m. on Nov. 24 in the 13000 block of Jasper Loop, just north of Aspen Leaf Lane.
According to sheriff's Sgt. Walter Mendez, witnesses heard the gunfire, and at least one person spotted a man fleeing the scene on foot moments after shots were fired.
Deputies found Lopez fatally shot in the street. She was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics minutes later.

Investigators canvassed the area but came up empty-handed that night, according to the sergeant. He said that over the ensuing weeks, Central Homicide Unit detectives obtained information pointing to Crockett and Salcida as the alleged shooters. A possible motive was not disclosed.
Search warrants were served at properties in Corona, Eastvale and Jurupa Valley, culminating in the arrests and seizure of evidence, Mendez said.
Neither man has documented prior felony convictions in Riverside County.
