Eucalyptus Tree Crushes a Honda in West Hills

No injuries were reported.

A giant eucalyptus tree toppled onto a Honda hatchback Monday in West Hills.

The incident happened Monday night at around 10 p.m. in the 23900 block of Las Rosas Street.

"We were just hanging out in our apartment when we heard a shake and a huge thump," said a resident of the area. "We thought it was a car accident, and we came out and we saw this tree that basically chopped this Honda in half."

The Honda appeared to be totaled.

"You can't open any doors," said Andrew Young. "The whole car is gone, but everyone is ok, so it's cool."

According to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department, no injuries have been reported.
