Family Pleads For Return of Baby's Stolen Ashes

Thieves broke into a Hemet home and took valuables, including an urn containing the ashes of baby Monroe Terry

An Inland Empire family is pleading for the return of an urn containing the ashes of their baby boy, stolen by thieves who broke into their Hemet home.

Watches, electronics and jewelry were taken from the house on Acacia Avenue during the burglary around 8:45 p.m. Monday night, along with the ashes of baby Monroe Terry, who was stillborn in May.

“If you’re watching, if you’re listening, if you care, if you have a heart, just give me my baby back,” his mother Tania Hill told NBC4. “They can keep everything else, do whatever they want with it, but that’s the only thing we need.”

Hill said the family will accept the return of the ashes with no questions asked.

A police report has been filed and the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is handling the investigation.
