Fans Line Up for Tickets After Guns N' Roses Concert Announcement

Fans lined up outside the former Tower Records building Friday after an announcement that rock band Guns N' Roses will be performing a gig at the famed Troubadour, the venue that helped rocket the group to stardom.

The reunited band's web site included the announcement, indicating that tickets would be distributed at noon at the former Tower Records building at 8801 Sunset Boulevard. Hundreds of fans gathered at the building, some arriving early Friday morning.

The band's homepage included its logo and the text, "April Fools?" NBC4 is attempting to confirm details with a band representative.

The gig would mark the first time Axl Rose and Slash performed on stage together since 1993, according to Rolling Stone, which reported the Friday night concert will be the first in a series of April shows.
