Stabbing in San Fernando Park Leaves One Man Dead

A man was fatally stabbed Tuesday night at a San Fernando Park.

At 9:49 p.m., the San Fernando Police Department initally responded to a call regarding a cardiac arrest at Las Palmas Park, according to officials. When police and the Los Angeles City Fire Department arrived at the scene, they found the deceased victim near the softball fields.

The victim, described as a transient in his 40s or 50s, suffered at least one stab wound. 

There are few surveillance cameras pointed toward the park, but officials plan to review footage to gather more information. A detailed description of the attacker was not immediately available.
