A 53-year-old man father involved in a dispute between his son and another father and son was stabbed to death Saturday night in Eagle Rock.
The fight occurred at about 8 p.m. near Figueroa Street and La Loma Street, just south of Colorado Boulevard. The confrontation started when one of the men threw a tear-gas canister at two other men, who were followed by the attackers to the 7300 block of Figueroa Street, police said.
The 53-year-old father and his son -- one of whom threw the tear gas canister -- were both stabbed by the other two men. The father at a hospital. His son remained hospitalized Monday morning.
Details regarding his condition were not available.
On Monday, police announced the arrests of two men on suspicion of murder. The father and son are being held on $1 million bond.
