One Killed in Fiery Crash on 118 Freeway

At least one person was killed Thursday night when a stalled car was rear-ended and burst into flames on a Southern California freeway, officials said.

The crash was reported about 8:50 p.m. on the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway in Granada Hills, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The stalled car was near Reseda Boulevard when it was struck, killing its driver, officials said.

All westbound lanes of the 118 Freeway remained closed as of 11 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. The lanes reopened just after midnight Friday.
