A year in, National Park Service scientists have made surprising finds in the first study of urban coyotes in Los Angeles.
"Before I started working with urban coyotes, I thought they never could live in some of the urban environments they're moving around in," Justin Brown, the ecologist heading up the study, told NBC4's media partner KPCC.
Brown has spent the past year tracking six coyotes through various LA neighborhoods. Despite setbacks, he's gathered months of data on coyote behavior and whereabouts.
