6 Sent to Hospital After Brawl, Stabbing at Buena Park Motel

Six people were injured after a fight involving seven people and a stabbing occurred at an Orange County motel Wednesday night, officials said.

Police responded to the Commonwealth Airport Inn in the 8100 block of Commonwealth Avenue around 10 p.m., according to the Orange County Fire Authority.

Three men and three women were transported to the hospital, including a man in his 20s who was stabbed. A 17-year-old teenage girl refused treatment, according to the OCFA.

Among the injured were also a man in his 20s who suffered injuries to the head and a woman in her 20s who had facial injuries after being punched. All were expected to make a quick recovery, officials said.

According to witnesses, the fight started after a woman who was not a guest at the hotel began using an outlet in the lobby to charge her cell phone. The manager tried to get the woman to leave.

Police said they were not able to confirm all of the details about how the altercation began, but were still investigating.

The motel is located a block away from the Fullerton Municipal Airport.

No arrests were made in connection with the fight.
