Man Expected to Plead Guilty to Illegally Posting ‘Deadpool' Online

A 22-year-old man is expected to plead guilty Wednesday in Los Angeles to a federal copyright infringement charge for allegedly posting the superhero flick "Deadpool" to his Facebook page just days after it opened in theaters.

Trevon Maurice Franklin, of Fresno, who used the screen name "Tre-Von M. King," admitted in a plea agreement to illegally uploading the R-rated Marvel action film eight days after its February 2016 release, allowing more than 6 million people to watch it for free.

The federal class-A misdemeanor carries a possible maximum sentence of a year behind bars.
