Riverside police are searching for the drivers of a white pick-up truck they believe siphoned approximately $2,000 worth of fuel from a gas station using a suction device.
The suspects pulled their "newer" model, white 4-door Ford-150 and dark-colored horse trailer into the Weis Fuel gas station at 9407 Magnolia Ave. around 4:45 a.m. on July 22.
The trailer was parked over a tank filling hole at the station. Police believe the trailer had a false floor and an indoor pump that allowed them to steal nearly 500 gallons of gas from the station’s tank.
According to a witness, the thieves were a male and female and the horse trailer had some sort of “alien sticker” on the outside.
The Riverside Police Department is asking anyone who sees a truck and trailer that meet this description to report them to the Riverside Police Department.
