Yoga has been growing in popularity in recent years, and now there's a new trend that is perfect for hot summer days in Southern California: paddleboard yoga.
It's just like regular yoga, except sometimes, you might get wet.
Yoga instructor Sara Tiefenthaler said she started paddleboard yoga classes in Marina Del Rey after meeting the owners of a paddle board store.

"They invited me to go out and try paddling on them and decided to experiment with yoga poses, and they told me that people are starting to do yoga on the standup paddleboards," Tiefenthaler said. "It works your core so much more, your balance improves drastically, and you have fun at the same time, and you have peace out there."
You don't have to know how to use a paddleboard or do yoga to get started.
"You see manna rays, and birds, and yoga is so much about unity with yourself and everything around you, and being out on the water, it really drives that home a little bit more," said Elizabeth Rusnak.
"It's relaxing and enlightening at the same time. It gives you a clear head and clean sense of focus," said Mike Nardelli, who loves the new exercise as well.
As with any exercise, you should check with your doctor to make sure it is safe for you before starting, and you should stop at the first sign of any injury.
