Hollywood Hit-and-Run Driver Sought for Injuring Victim

Authorities searched today for a driver wanted in a hit-and-run crash that left another driver injured in Hollywood.

The crash was reported at 11:53 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Western and Russell avenues, said Sgt. Clifton Frazier of the Los Angeles Police Department's West Traffic Bureau.

The suspect vehicle was traveling north on Western Avenue when it collided with another vehicle, also northbound, causing that vehicle to overturn, Frazier said.

The suspect vehicle continued on and hit a few parked cars before the driver abandoned the vehicle and ran off on eastbound Russell Avenue, Frazier said.

The driver of the overturned vehicle was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, according to Frazier.

A detailed description of the suspect was not immediately available.
