Hundreds of USC Students Violently Ill from Virus

It wasn't a bid to ditch class or postpone an exam, when 330 students at the University of Southern California became ill when infected with the norovirus, which causes diarrhea, vomiting and stomach cramps. Only 30 new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours, indicating a slowdown in the spread of infection. Students, faculty, and university workers are being instructed to wash their hands and use sanitizers to stay healthy, and to avoid socializing if they're not feeling well to reduce the incidence of transmission.
