One person was killed and two people were taken to a hospital after a violent collision involving three vehicles at the intersection of Victory Boulevard and Vineland Avenue in North Hollywood Tuesday, authorities said.
A woman who was not in a vehicle and sitting at a bus stop was struck by one of the cars in the crash and pronounced dead at the hospital, authorities said.
The incident occurred at approximately 3:05 p.m., the Los Angeles Police Department said.
The crash was caused by a driver of a BMW running a red light, according to a witness at the scene. Authorities said the driver was expected to face D.U.I. charges after being released from the hospital.
