LA Rams Coach To Speak to Fans on Vamos Rams Day

Los Angeles Rams coach Sean McVay is scheduled to speak to fans following Sunday's training camp practice at UC Irvine, which will be Vamos Rams Day, celebrating the Latino culture of the Los Angeles region.

There will be performances by the Peruvian-inspired band La Chamba and Rams cheerleaders. Fans will receive a Rams knit scarf giveaway while supplies last. Quarterbacks and tight ends will sign autographs after practice.

The practice will begin at 4 p.m. with gates to the field opening at 2:30 p.m.

A fan activation zone will open two hours before each practice open to the public.

It will include a stage with entertainment, cheerleader performances, interviews, opportunities to take pictures and get autographs from former Ram players.

The NFC Championship Trophy will be on display.

There will be a virtual reality showing of the new stadium in Inglewood the Rams are set to begin play at in 2020.

A Kid's Zone will feature inflatables, a vertical jump station, plinko, face painting, balloon animals and a 50-yard football field.

Fans seeking to attend the practice and receive giveaways must register for free tickets at therams.com/training camp or on the Rams mobile app.

The Rams conducted their first practice of their 2019 training camp Saturday with "a lot of great fan support" and "a great atmosphere," McVay said.

"It was really good just to get our whole team out there," McVay said. "It's getting guys like (running back) Todd (Gurley II), (receiver) Cooper (Kupp) out there. (Defensive tackle) Aaron (Donald) looked great, great to see him and have him out here for the first day of camp.

"Until you go back and look at the film, it's always hard to say, but it seemed like there was a lot of good energy, a lot of good communication and a lot of things that we can clean up as well."
