A Los Angeles County sheriff's deputy was injured Thursday night after his patrol car crashed and overturned, officials said.
The crash was reported about 9 p.m. near Sierra Highway and W. Avenue J8, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
A witness at the scene said she watched as the deputy swerved to avoid a jaywalker when he crashed. She described the jaywalked continuing on after the crash.
The deputy was taken to a hospital after the crash with minor injuries, officials said.
