Lanes Reopened on 110 Freeway After Pedestrian Fatally Struck

Two lanes were reopened on the 110 Freeway after a pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle late Monday night, authorities said.

The accident was reported just before midnight on the southbound 110 Freeway near the Florence Avenue exit, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A man was found lying in the road and pronounced dead at the scene, according to the CHP.

It was unclear why the pedestrian was on the road.

The driver who struck the man stayed at the scene.

CHP closed the two right lanes near Florence Avenue until further notice.

All lanes were reopened around 3:44 a.m., according to the CHP.
