LAPD Cruiser Crashes into Boyle Heights Hair Salon

A Los Angeles police cruiser with two officers inside collided with another vehicle in Boyle Heights Tuesday and wound up crashing into the front of a hair salon, but no injuries were reported.

The officers were responding as backup on a stolen-vehicle call around 4:15 p.m. when the crash occurred at Cesar Chavez Avenue and Cornwell Street, according to Officer Jeff Lee of the LAPD's Media Relations Section.

The cruiser wound up crashing into the front window of a hair salon on the corner. Neither officer was hurt, and no injuries were reported at the business.

No arrests were made and no one was cited, Lee said.
