An off-duty officer was injured early Tuesday in a motorcycle crash on a freeway north of Los Angeles.
Details about the crash involving a Los Angeles Police Department officer on a motorcycle and at least one other vehicle were not immediately available.
The crash was reported at about 5 a.m. on the 5 Freeway in Stevenson Ranch. The officer, who was trapped under a vehicle, was transported from the scene in an ambulance.
The department said in a tweet that the officer was in "stable condition."
"Wishing him a speedy recovery," the tweet continued.
The southbound side of the freeway was closed for the crash investigation.
