LAPD Officer Gets 180 Days in Jail for On-Duty Assaults of Massage Parlor Women

Oris Pace, 49, had most of his charges dismissed as part of a plea deal, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office said

A Los Angeles police officer was sentenced to 180 days in county jail Friday for assaulting three women while on duty.

Oris Pace, 49, pleaded no contest in June to three counts of assault. Prosecutors said he forced three victims to undress and fondled them, at the different San Fernando Valley massage parlors where they worked.

The alleged offenses took place from January 2011 to January 2012. Pace was responsible for enforcing business permits at the parlors.

He was also put on probation for three years for the offenses and will resign from the LAPD.

Pace was charged in January with five felony counts of assault by a public officer and six counts of sexual battery.

Those counts were dismissed at sentencing as part of Pace's no-contest plea deal, said Greg Risling, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
