$10K Reward Extended in Azusa Hit-and-Run Case

LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors extended a $10,000 reward Tuesday for information leading to a conviction in a 2004 hit-and-run crash that killed a 23-year-old woman in Azusa.

The board extended the reward, which was set to expire Monday, at the request of Supervisor Gloria Molina.

Pauline Squires was walking with friend Michael Braier when a vehicle slammed into the pair at Azusa Avenue and Fourth Street on March 27, 2004. Squires was killed and Braier seriously injured.

"Investigators strongly believe that someone has information about this case, and they are seeking the public's assistance in bringing the perpetrators of this heinous crime to justice," Molina said.

Anyone with more information was asked to call Azusa police Cpl. Dean Brewer at 626-812-3200.
