110 Freeway Traffic Resumes After Woman Threatens to Jump

Traffic was backed up for miles near downtown Los Angeles on the 110 Freeway as police responded to a woman perched above the freeway threatening to jump.

Firefighters were called just before 7 p.m. to assist at the scene near the Sixth Street overpass, according to Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Traffic was backed up for miles in both directions.

Authorities finally talked the woman down and took her to a hospital for observation, according to the California Highway Patrol.
