Girl Among Three Killed in Fontana Crash

The crash happened before 9 p.m. in Fontana

Three people, including a child, were killed Monday night in a crash that left two others injured in Fontana.

Police were investigating whether a driver ran a red light, causing the crash at a Fontana intersection, officials said. The crash happened at 8:40 p.m. near Citrus Avenue and East Foothill Boulevard, fire officials said.

Officials said that one of the victims was a girl, age 3 or 4. Two adults in their 30s also were killed in the crash, and two other victims remained in critical condition Tuesday morning.

A stretch of the road was closed while authorities investigated the cause of the crash. Foothill Boulevard and Citrus Avenue were reopened after the crash investgation.
