Injuries to two people Tuesday night at Corona del Mar State Beach might have been self-inflicted, Newport Beach police said.
Police responded to a call of a man and woman bleeding at the beach at 3000 Brakers Drive. Police were investigating but did not have a suspect description.
Aerial images showed paramedics treating the two. Authorities initially invesetigating the case as a stabbing, but said Wednesday morning that the injuries might have been self-inflicted.
The two individuals were hospitalized. Details regarding their injuries and how they occurred were not available.
