A 3-year-old baby is in grave condition following a hit-and-run crash Sunday that has left police with no leads in San Bernardino, officials said.
The baby was at a family get-together playing in a bounce house before wandering into the street and being struck by a vehicle in the 2400 block of North. Mt. View., San Bernardino Police Lt. R. Lawhead said.
Family members took the baby to a nearby hospital. the baby was listed in grave condition.
“The baby is in really bad shape and not expected to survive,” Lawhead said. “The family has gathered at a makeshift memorial.”
Witnesses had varying descriptions of the suspected vehicle and little evidence to go on, according to a news release.
