A tree knocked down by winds in Sherman Oaks banged up several cars and halted onramp traffic Thursday afternoon.
The toppled tree took out the SUV and caused damage to another sedan at around 1:30 p.m. on the 405 Freeway, affecting traffic heading south.
Four lanes were also blocked near Burbank Boulevard due to the tree.
It wasn't clear if anyone was injured.
