All lanes were closed on the 405 Freeway in Long Beach early Tuesday morning after a crash involving an off-duty LAPD officer, authorities said.
The crash was reported around 3 a.m. on the southbound 405 Freeway just north of Lakewood Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Traffic was diverted at Cherry Avenue until further notice, according to the CHP.
Details regarding the officer's injuries were not immediately available.
