Alleged Ventura County Bank Robber Surrenders in Las Vegas

Just a few days after allegedly robbing a bank in Ventura County, a 32-year-old man surrendered to authorities in Las Vegas on April 12, officials said.

Colin Taylor Volpe turned himself in to Las Vegas police, allegedly admitting to robbing a JPMorgan Chase bank in Camarillo on April 8, according to a new release from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office.

Under advisement from Ventura County sheriff’s deputies, Volpes was held without bail at the Clark County Detention Center.

Investigators from Ventura County arrived in Las Vegas later that day and obtained a confession, authorities said.

Volpes was taken to a pre-trial detention center in Ventura County on Saturday where he was arrested on allegations of robbery. His bail was set at $100,000.
