The search for Aramazd Andressian Jr., missing since an April trip to Disneyland with his father, ended June 30 when the remains of the 5-year-old boy were found in Santa Barabara County. The discovery brought to a close a search that covered a widespread part of Southern California.
On the same day that Aramazd Andressian Jr.'s remains were discovered at Lake Cachuman, his 35-year-old father was extradited from Las Vegas to California to face a murder charge in the boy's death. Authorities say the father spent nearly 50 days in Las Vegas after the boy was reported missing.
On Aug. 1, 2017, Aramazd Andressian Sr. pleaded guilty to murder in the death of his son. Family members were in court for the hearing and ther father's sentencing Aug. 23, 2017, when he received a punishment of 25 years to life in prison.
