On Jan. 5 about 1:20 p.m., the suspects entered a business in the 3600 block of West Olympic Boulevard, where the man pointed a handgun at a clerk and the pair fled with jewelry items.

On Jan. 17, the suspects entered a shoe store in the 4200 block of Third Street, where the man pointed a handgun at the clerk before the pair fled with undisclosed property.

The man was described as Hispanic, 30 to 40 years old and 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a medium build. The woman was described as Hispanic, 30 to 45 years old and 5 feet 3 inches to 5 feet 5 inches tall, with a medium build.

Both businesses are Korean-operated, and use security systems in which customers must be allowed in by clerks through locked doors, the LAPD reported.

Anyone with information on the case was urged to call LAPD Olympic Station detectives at (213) 382-9466, or (877) LAPD-247.

The West Los Angeles crimes both occurred on Jan. 27, and were committed by a man described as white, 27 to 33 years old and 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a medium build.

About 1:15 a.m. that day, the suspect entered a convenience store near Santa Monica Boulevard and Wellesley Avenue, walked up to the cashier, lifted his shirt and revealed the handle of a black handgun inside his waistband. He then placed a plastic bag on the counter and demanded money.

The employee placed money in the bag, and the suspect then demanded lottery scratchers. After the employee placed the lottery scratchers in the bag, the suspect grabbed the bag and fled.

About five hours later, the suspect entered a gas station near Santa Monica Boulevard and Beloit Avenue, where he again walked up to the register, lifted his shirt and revealed the handle of a black handgun in his waistband.

He placed a plastic bag on the counter and demanded money and lottery scratchers from the clerk, who placed the items in the bag.

Anyone with information on the case was urged to call LAPD West Los Angeles Station robbery detectives at (310) 444-1529, or (877) LAPD-247.
