One person was arrested in a burglary case that involved the cremated remains of a woman, according to deputies in San Bernardino County.
Joseph Manning Slater, of Highland, was booked for possession of stolen property.
Art Pauly first reported the burglary on Sunday after arriving at his Highland home. Pauly said someone broke into his home while he was at work, taking a television, two jewelry boxes and an urn and velvet bag that contained the remains of his wife, Ann Marie Pauly.
On Monday, a neighbor returned the container, saying that he had confronted the burglar in the street.
