One Hospitalized in Motorcycle Shop Shooting

The gunman, identified as a man in his 70s, surrended to police minutes after the shooting

One person was hospitalized Tuesday morning after a shooting in a back room at a motorcycle shop in the San Fernando Valley.

The shooting occurred just before 10 a.m. in the 10200 block of San Fernando Road (map). The victim, shot in the abdomen and arm, was hospitalized.

Details regarding the victim's condition were not immediately available. The victim was identified as a shop employee.

A man surrendered to police in connection with the shooting, according to the LAPD. Details regarding the subject, identified only as a man in his 70s involved in a business dispute, were not immediately available.

The individual walked into the front lobby of nearby Foothill Division Station and surrended, according to the LAPD.

Aerial video showed yellow crime scene tape in front of the entrance to the cycle shop.

Drivers were advised to avoid the area during the investigation.
