Man Sought in Attack of Pregnant Woman

Police are searching for a man who attacked a pregnant woman from behind and kicked her while she was on the ground Sunday morning.

The victim, 30, was walking on Cienaga Avenue near Valley Center Avenue in Charter Oak when she was attacked from behind and knocked to the ground, according to the San Dimas Sheriff's Department, which is handling the investigation.

Described as man in his mid-20s, the attacker (pictured in a sketch below) began kicking the woman, who screamed that she was pregnant. He then immediately ran from the area.

The attacker is described as having a shaved head, standing about 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, about 150 to 170 pounds. He was wearing a black sweatshirt and sunglasses.

Police have not determined a motive for the attack.
