'Uniform Days' will happen on select days through the winter.

WEATHER IS ON THE WAY, as in the sort of weather that produces snowflakes in mountainous locations, but the ski resorts of Southern California have already been schussing along this drier winter, thanks to the magic (read: science) of modern-day snow-making. But with a storm sweeping through in the days ahead, and accumulation at higher elevations pretty much a certainty, a board buff or devoted skier can really begin to think about hitting their favorite hill, all to leave the stresses of the daily world behind (and to get some superb runs in, natch). Big Bear is a favorite spot for many hill-happy people around the region, and many of those same ski-loving people happen to serve their community in the important role of first responder. If that's you, and you do love some time on the slopes, know that there are a few money-saving...

UNIFORM DAYS... just ahead at Big Bear Mountain Resort. In fact, for two days each month, in January, February, and March 2018, Big Bear will shave 50% off a lift ticket for "law enforcement, fire fighters, military, and EMS." Those still-to-come dates include Jan. 10 and 11 (only a few days after the big snowstorm is expected), Feb. 7 and 8, and March 7 and 8. The discounted cost for that lift ticket? It's $42. Can you schuss at Snow Summit as well as Bear Mountain? You got it. It's all to say...

THANK YOU... for all you do, from the people at Big Bear Mountain Resort. If a day with the poles and the gloves and the skis sounds pretty nice just about now, get details on getting there, what's happening, what's to eat, hours, and so forth, and keep those Uniform Days dates in mind if you want to enjoy that sweet 50% lift savings.
