A big rig carrying 70,000 pounds of tomatoes overturned just after midnight on Saturday, prompting a partial closure of the northbound 215 Freeway in Riverside.
The crash occurred south of Columbia Avenue on the freeway. No injuries were reported and the driver of the big rig was able to exit the truck, according to Inland California Highway Patrol.
Officials requested additional equipment to offload the thousands of tomatoes out of the trailer. Surprisingly, most of the produce was still intact after the overturn.
